Since 1988, Crystal Cruises have been offering some of the most luxurious cruises to travellers who want to see the world in style. They have pushed the boundaries of what'all-inclusive' means, offering an experience in which guests will want for nothing and enjoy everything they could wish for whilst on holiday.
In July 2016, the operator decided to branch out and offer European river cruises with the same level of distinguished quality and service. Once Crystal Bach and Crystal Mahler join in 2017 and Crystal Debussy and Crystal Ravel make their debuts in 2018, they will accompany Crystal Mozart to create a fleet of five all-suite ships. Each will offer unobtrusive butler service, plenty of space to relax and an all-inclusive price that includes everything from drinks and gratuities to shore excursions and airport transfers.
The yachts, as they are known, sail along popular rivers such as the Danube, Moselle, Main and Rhine, providing everyone who sets foot aboard them with fantastic views of the passing scenery, a wide range of Crystal Complimentary Adventures® and the perfect environment in which to take it easy.
With every accommodation option coming in the form of a suite, you can be sure to receive a spacious and beautifully designed place to rest your head aboard these luxury river yachts. Crystal Mozart features suites with panoramic windows or French balconies, whilst all the suites aboard both Crystal Mahler and Crystal Bach will offer full-sized sash windows that allow the whole room to be transformed into a balcony.
With one and two-bedroom options to sleep up five adults, you are sure to find a suitable option for your family. All of the accommodation features king-sized beds topped with Egyptian linens, flat screen HD TVs, a coffee machine, refrigerator and even wireless charging for all of your electronic devices. The larger suites boast extras such as full-size bath tubs, fireplaces and dining tables; those on Crystal Bach can even offer underfloor heating in the living room. Butler service is offered to everyone so that your packing and unpacking is taken care of and you can enjoy canapes and hors d’oeuvres in your suite.
With unlimited beverages – that’s alcohol and soft drinks – included in the all-inclusive offering, guests can wash down every meal with their favourite tipple without having to worry about the cost. You can also look forward to Michelin star-quality cuisine served in a variety of different locations within the yacht. From elaborate buffets in the morning to sumptuous a la carte options at lunch and dinner, mealtimes will be a delight during your river cruise. There are indoor and al fresco dining options to choose from and guests can sit where and with whom they want. There’s also a casual dress code and a 24-hour pantry where you can help yourself to tea, coffee and wine.
The public dining areas across the fleet of yachts include a main restaurant with outdoor seating along with a European bistro. The sun deck and Palm Court are great places to relax and catch up with new friends during the day, whilst the library will offer some peace and quiet away from the main facilities. Crystal Mozart, especially, has some fantastic wellness spaces including a swimming pool, saunas and treatment rooms dedicated to massage and other therapies. Finally, there is a fitness area on the top deck that provides machines, free weights and yoga mats for anyone looking to keep themselves in shape.
Shore excursions, or Crystal Adventures®, are just one of the many things included in the all-inclusive offering. In every port there will be a choice of soft or active options so that you can easily find something to suit to your physical ability and your desire to explore. There may also be some additional activities added on certain itineraries which are optional and will incur an extra charge.
If you would prefer to head out on your own and discover what the latest port of call has to offer, GPS Whisper Guides may be available to help you navigate your way around an unfamiliar city.
