Throughout January we held a competition in partnership with Anglian radio stations (Radio Norwich, North Norfolk Radio, Town 102, Dream 100 and The Beach), giving listeners the chance to win an exciting cruise to the Norwegian Fjords. Taking place on board Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Braemar, the 8-day cruise will depart from Southampton and visit Norwegian cities and villages such as Bergen and Skjolden. There will also be plenty of opportunities to see the breathtaking scenery in this part of the world, as the ship sails through dramatic fjords such as Naeroyfjord and Lustrafjord.
The winner was chosen at random by the team at Radio Norwich and the lucky name picked was that of Emma Gibbs from Wroxham. She only entered the competition on a whim and thought she had no chance of winning but was delighted to be proved wrong. She was thinking of her dad when she decided to take her chances, knowing that he would really enjoy the prize, and has decided to donate the cruise to him and her mum. Having worked as a bridge boy for major cruise lines in the past, Emma’s dad is now looking forward to experiencing a cruise from a guest’s point of view rather than an employee’s.
Recently, Emma Regis, manager of our Norwich travel agents in store at JARROLD; Vicky Bunting, manager of Thorpe Travel branch; and Paul Hardwick, group retail manager for Fred. Olsen Travel visited Radio Norwich HQ to present Emma Gibbs with her prize. They are joined in the picture opposite by breakfast show host Rob Chandler.
