Fred. Olsen Travel Repeats Record Year For Sixth Time

With business dealings all tied up and the numbers crunched for 2015, Fred. Olsen Travel is pleased to announce another record-breaking year. This is the sixth time in a row that we have achieved such outstanding performance, something we are quick to acknowledge is largely down to our experienced and discerning staff who have a real passion for what they do.

Final figures show that profits are up a fantastic 14% from 2014, a result that comes in the wake of what was a challenging twelve months for the company and for the travel industry as a whole. Throughout the year, we managed to open two new travel agents, in Lymington and Westbourne, as well as taking over the reins at Dorchester Travel. We also relocated our Ipswich travel shop from its home on the high street to a position inside department store Coes. This all came during a period in which tragic events shocked the world and put holidaymakers everywhere on alert.

“I am extremely proud that we are able to report such positive news for the sixth year running,” said Paul Hardwick, Group Retail Manager at Fred. Olsen Travel. “This success can only be down to the commitment, dedication and high level of service from each and every member of our team. We continuously train and develop our staff and always put the customer first. Colchester, Felixstowe and Bury St Edmunds all had record-breaking years with Colchester achieving the strongest performance in the company’s history”, he continued.

There’s no time to rest, though, especially as we are still in the middle of one of the busiest periods of the year. However, with a number of things in the pipeline and with everyone keen to break records for a seventh time, we’re confident we can earn more success in 2016.

We would like to thank all of our customers who booked with us in 2015 and we look forward to welcoming you, along with a host of new faces, into our stores again soon.
