Middle East

An extraordinary part of the world, the Middle East is the birthplace of three of the world’s biggest religions - Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Civilisations have risen and fell, and left behind is history that can be felt in every footstep.

Nowhere else in the world does history feel so alive. From the pyramids of Egypt to the ancient city embedded in the rocks of Petra in Jordan, the past mixes with the present seamlessly. The streets of modern cities such as Jerusalem and Istanbul show signs of roots that can be traced back generations.

But don’t be mistaken, this region is not stuck in the past. There is plenty for the modern traveller to do and see and some of the richest destination son Earth to do it in. Your holiday in the Middle East could include scuba diving or snorkelling in the Red Sea, flexing your credit card in Dubai, admiring some of the world's fastest growing cities and filling your belly with an astonishing array of delightful food.
