Senior Travel Consultant

When did you start working in the travel industry?

When I was 24, I joined Virgin Atlantic in 2006, I became cabin crew where I worked my way to a senior position. I worked up quite a few occasions managing either Economy or Upper Class.

What is your favourite thing about your job?

Learning about people and getting to know them. Finding them their holiday of the year or first ever holiday and seeing them get so excited for it, knowing I helped make it happen.

Where would you like to visit next?

Cambodia and Vietnam, it's our plan for our honeymoon which we still haven't had yet. It looks beautiful, I want to experience the culture and food.

What is your dream holiday destination?

Not as such a destination, but I would love to experience the Orient Express, that would be an absolute dream!

What has been your favourite holiday, which you have booked for a customer, that you would love to take yourself?

I booked a tour of Japan for a couple of ladies who were living their best lives. As I was discussing the itinerary with them, I wanted to book myself a ticket and go with them.

What were your childhood holidays like?

My childhood holidays were very different to now, we mostly did staycations like Butlins, but the best thing was just spending time with my family.

What are the first three things in your case?

A good book, sunglasses and a dress with an expanding waistline!

Tips

  1. Book the packages, it'll save you money in the long run, when you're on the ship all day, you won't be worrying about how much you're spending as it's included then.
  2. Take a LBD and the heels.
  3. Check out the events that are planned so it doesn't surprise you when you get onboard.

My Favourite Memory

I have a few but I would say my absolute favourite would be Cape Town. It has sunshine, beaches, incredible food, wildlife and just the most picturesque views, everywhere you turn is like a postcard.
