When did you start working in the travel industry?

I started working in travel in May 2016.

What is your favourite thing about your job?

Every day is different, and hearing how excited clients get about their dream trips

Where would you like to visit next?

New Zealand or Canada. I love forests, mountains, lakes and peace.

What is your dream holiday destination?

New Zealand. I'm a massive Lord of the Rings fan, plus it would tick off my 7th continent.

What were your childhood holidays like?

I loved villa holidays on the Spanish coast in small less touristy towns. it was precious, relaxing, family time.

What are the first three things in your case?

Extension cable (don't then have to take loads of adaptors), a good book (or three!), and every pair of sunglasses I own.

Tips

  1. So long as you have your 4 P's (pair of pants, phone, purse/wallet, passport) you can relax, it doesn't matter what else you may have forgotten as you can get it in resort.
  2. I'd recommend a portable charger, especially as so many tickets are going digital.
  3. Don't try and jam pack every day with plans. Give yourself time to rest, unwind, and be present wherever you are.

Tips

  1. Try and get your 'holiday admin' sorted on day one (pre-booking speciality restaurants, registering your card etc.) so you can enjoy your holiday without worrying about anything else.
  2. If you're not an experienced cruiser, it's important to consider the size of the ship when considering an itinerary. There's some places that lend themselves to visiting from a larger vessel, but a lot of small intimate ports only accept smaller ships.
  3. Cruises are a social holiday. I love to pair them with a land stay afterwards so you can have the best of both worlds.
