Star Clippers

Royal Clipper was officially recognised by the Guinness World Record in 2001 as the World's largest square rigger in service. Star Clipper and her sister ship Star Flyer boasts a traditional four-masted sailing ship design. Offering modern cruising facilities that will please passengers from all over the world, they have a distinctly luxury feel despite their smaller size. Passengers can get involved with sailing the ship, climbing the crow's nest and pulling the ropes.

Royal Clipper, the largest and only five-masted full-rigged sailing ship carries just 227 guests. Sister ships Star Clipper & Star Flyer carry 170 guests each. Both offer a one-off intimate experience. Star Clippers is the only cruise company to offer an authentic, natural sailing experience with both modern propulsion methods and traditional sailing.

Excursions

The smaller size of these ships mean they can sail to some of the smaller, less travelled ports, offering a more specialised itinerary than the large cruise liners. There are also plenty of opportunities to see the great sights of the world such as the Parthenon and the Acropolis in Greece, the Blue Mosque in Istanbul or take an overnight trip on the Orient Express.

In Italy, you can tour the historic cities of Rome and Civitavecchia or experience a night at the opera in Verona. Likewise indulge in the party atmospheres of the cities of Monaco and Barcelona. Stimulate the senses with the tastes and smells of bustling spice markets in Marrakech and Tangier, or sample wine tastings along the Amalfi Coast.

Star Clippers is happy to tailor-make an itinerary of excursions based on the destinations visited and you personal tastes.
